Bronwyn Eddings doesn’t enjoy being a lawyer. She misses the beautiful Oak Hills Winery in Yallingup. Her best friend Claudia Franklin doesn’t want to run Oak Hills Winery. She misses practicing law. After an incident at work, Bronwyn decides that the best solution for both her and Claudia is to swap lives. It sounds easy enough but trouble follows with a former client of Bronwyn’s. On top of that there is unresolved issues with Jack Franklin and serious attraction to Claudia’s new boss.
The Grass is Greener is light and funny with a twist of mystery and a bit of romance. Loretta Hill really explores the theme of “the grass is greener on the other side” and how it may seem like it is better on the other side but everyone everywhere has problems. I love this. She shows that you need to make the best of each situation and that if you don’t like where you are at in life, then do something to fix it.
My only complaint was that the romance in the book felt rushed, especially the relationship between Bronwyn and Jack. I felt that it was a quick and happy ended which didn’t flow with the rest of the book.
